Arthur Burghouwt, Executive Vice President, Medical
Art has 20 years of medical device experience in various leadership positions in sales, marketing, business development, operations, engineering, and general management. Art holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University and an MBA from the University of Connecticut. He is the founder and President of the Sundancer Group, a business development consulting company focused on the medical device industry. He was most recently Vice President and General Manager of the OEM Specialties Business at Teleflex Medical, and prior to that he was the founder and Sr. Director of Sales & Marketing of Genzyme Biosurgery's OEM business. Previously, he held leadership positions in operations and engineering for Deknatel and Davis & Geck. Art is very familiar with absorbable polymers, biomaterials, sutures and fibers, and all aspects of medical device manufacturing, design & development, sales & marketing, and distribution. He has experience with a wide variety of device technologies and applications, especially in the cardiovascular and orthopedic surgery markets.
